Aircraft services provider BBA Aviation has proposed a buyout of charter aircraft group Landmark Aviation for around $2.1bn.

Aircraft services provider BBA Aviation has proposed a buyout of charter aircraft group Landmark Aviation for around $2.1bn.

According to Reuters, UK-headquartered BBA has moved for Landmark after the US firm had explored a sale and the deal will be funded by a $748m ($1.1bn) rights issue.

Landmark’s capabilities include engine maintenance, airframe services, interior refurbishment, paint services and charter management.

BBA’s chief executive Simon Pryce said the acquisition would be used to extend BBA’s flight services brand globally.
