BOC Aviation’s profit last year rose 12 per cent from $201m in 2011 to $225m in 2012, marking a record high. The lessor’s assets also increased by 20 per cent to $9.1bn, after it increased its portfolio of aircraft to 203. Of these 177 were owned, two were on finance lease and 24 were managed. During the year BOC took delivery of 27 new aircraft, including five sale and leasebacks. It also sold six aircraft. At year-end, the lessor had an order book of 100 aircraft and it had committed to 26 more under sale-and-leaseback deals.
