Boeing Shanghai To Carry Out Thomas Cook 767 C-Checks

Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services has signed a contract with Thomas Cook Airlines to provide C-check services for its fleet of 767 aircraft.

Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services has signed a contract with Thomas Cook Airlines to provide C-check services for its fleet of 767 aircraft.

The new agreement, Boeing Shanghai’s first with a UK-based airline, will see the MRO carry out C-checks on Thomas Cook operated 767s at its Shanghai airport facility.

Jaakko Schildt, head of the group maintenance at Thomas Cook, said: “Through this contract, Thomas Cook Airlines will receive full service, high quality and cost-effective maintenance which will enhance the reliability and cost effectiveness of its operation.”

Set up in 2006 as a joint venture between Boeing, Shanghai Airport Authorities and China Eastern Airlines, Boeing Shanghai’s capabilities include aircraft engineering, maintenance and modification services and material management, component repair and overhaul.
