British Airways Engineering Expands 787 Training Capabilities

British Airways Engineering has expanded its commercial learning academy to help customers integrate both the 787 and A380 into their fleets. The course targets engineers wishing to qualify in 787 B1/B2 maintenance theory with the Trent 1000 engine. The first commercially available course will run for 35 working days and commence on June 3, accommodating 16 students. Training rooms will be equipped with virtual technology that is able to simulate aspects of an aircraft’s mechanical and avionics systems, allowing engineers to explore the behaviour of the 787.
