UK-based spare parts firm Casco has completed the purchase of a 747-400.

UK-based spare parts firm Casco has completed the purchase of a 747-400.

The 21-year-old aircraft was the 1,000th 747 made by Boeing when manufactured in 1994 and most recently was used as a freighter by US cargo carrier Southern Air Transport.

The aircraft arrived at St Athan Aerospace Business Park in Wales on Tuesday (January 6) where it is being parted out.

Casco confirmed that the aircraft’s inventory will shortly be available for sale, lease or exchange.
