China Southern Signs Line Maintenance Deal

China Southern Airlines has signed a contract with Dutch MRO Direct Maintenance for line maintenance services on its A330 aircraft at a facility in Kenya.

China Southern Airlines has signed a contract with Dutch MRO Direct Maintenance for line maintenance services on its A330 aircraft at a facility in Kenya.

The carrier began undertaking work on the A330 at Nairobi airport this week after the aircraft performed its inaugural flight to Kenya from Guangzhou, China.

Roger Meels, director of sales and marking at Direct Maintenance, said: “Given the consistent growth in both trade and tourism, untapped potential exists for Chinese carriers to connect mainland China with Africa.”
