Irish regional carrier CityJet has signed a long-term agreement for Fokker Services to cover its fleet of eight Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft under its Abacus component availability programme.

Under the terms of the contract, Netherlands-headquartered Fokker will provide nose-to-tail PBH component management, along with lease, availability and maintenance services on the aircraft type, which CityJet operates for Scandinavian carrier SAS.

The programme will also cater for six optional aircraft, two of which Fokker said had already been exercised with the possibility of the other four being phased in from 2017.

Eugene Quigley, general manager of technical at CityJet, said: “We see great value in the Fokker Services’ Abacus programme and know that their support will help us to provide the highest level of dispatch reliability to serve our customers."
