C&L Aerospace has signed a contract to provide power by the hour services on Japan Air Commuter’s (JAC) fleet of 13 Saab 340 aircraft.

Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, US-based C&L will carry out services including pool inventory and landing gear support for the Kirishima-based carrier, which operates feeder services for Japan Airlines.

C&L said the work will be carried out at its facility in Bangor, Maine. Kazuhiko Hiyoshi, senior vice-president of JAC, said the agreement will bring a more reliable maintenance programme to its fleet.
