South African carrier Comair has signed a new long-term component support contract with AFI KLM E&M for its fleet of 15 737 aircraft.
The contract covers component repair, the supply of a main base kit, and access to the AFI KLM E&M spares pool.
Comair said its decision to renew the deal with AFI KLM E&M was the guarantee of a “reliable response to its requirements” from the Paris-headquartered MRO which has a permanent logistics team situated in Comair’s home city of Johannesburg.
Keith Watson, Comair's senior manager engineering and fleet said: “Operational excellence is vital and Comair makes intensive use of its aircraft, which are rarely in the hangar. In AFI KLM E&M we have found a trusted partner with its own exacting standard to serve the company's needs.”
