Copa Extends Ge Onpoint Contract

Panama-based carrier Copa Airlines has agreed a five-year extension with GE Aviation for its rate-per-flight-hour maintenance programme “OnPoint”.

Panama-based carrier Copa Airlines has agreed a five-year extension with GE Aviation for its rate-per-flight-hour maintenance programme “OnPoint”.

Under the agreement, valued at more than $250m, GE will provide material support for Copa’s 64 CFM56-7B engines which power its fleet of 737 aircraft.

GE said that with this agreement, Copa’s entire fleet of CFM56-7B and CF34-10E engines are now covered under the OEM’s OnPoint solution.
