Corendon Choses AFI KLM E&M For CFM56-7 Engine Support

Corendon Airlines has signed a long-term contract with AFI KLM Engineering and Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) for the support of its CFM56-6 engines; the Turkish carrier currently operates five 737-800s using the engines. The contract includes two types of services; the first being ‘core performance restoration’, a maintenance procedure between complete overhaul and on-wing maintenance, and ‘life cycle parts replacement’, which involves replacing used engine parts after five number of cycles. The first engine has been overhauled at the AFI KLM E&M engine shop in Amsterdam, with three others due to follow later this year and five more by 2015.
