Low-cost carrier Corendon Airlines has expanded its cooperation with Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) by signing a contract for the MRO to provide its Corendon Airlines Turkey and Corendon Dutch Airlines subsidiaries with engine maintenance services for twelve CFM56-7B engines.
The agreement started in July and will run until 2018, with work being carried out at AFI KLM E&M’s Amsterdam facility.
As part of the comprehensive engine support, AFI KLM E&M will also provide spare engines to the Corendon.
The new deal follows a similar arrangement for the CFM56-7B from 2013 to 2014, along with a component support arrangement between the parties on the 737.
Ton Dortmans, executive vice-president KLM E&M, said AFI KLM E&M is intent on “continuously improving” the services it provides Corendon Airlines to further develop the relationship to cover additional maintenance services.
