Eirtech Aviation has signed a contract with Swedish carrier SAS for end of lease technical services on more than 40 leased Boeing and Airbus aircraft up until 2019.
The agreement, beginning with immediate effect, will see Shannon-based Eirtech use a technical services team of more than 20 people for the project.
They will be assisted by Eirtech’s Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) personnel, working across aircraft types including 737s, A320s and A340s.
Martin Haglund, Head of Aircraft Transfer at SAS said the contract was awarded to Eirtech following a tender process as the firm met specific criteria.
“Whilst price is obviously crucial, we were equally looking for a specialist company that could deliver a flexible solution with a wide range of competences, driven by highly motivated professionals to meet SAS core values,” he said.
