Embraer Extends J-Air’s E-Jet Pooling Programme

Embraer has extended its flight hour pool programme with Japan Airlines regional subsidiary J-Air covering its fleet of 20 E-Jet aircraft.

Embraer has extended its flight hour pool programme with Japan Airlines regional subsidiary J-Air covering its fleet of 20 E-Jet aircraft.

Comprised of 17 E170s and three E190s, the pool agreement will run for up to 10 years and covers more than 300 part numbers on the Japan Airlines operated aircraft.

The Brazilian OEM said the programme is designed to minimise airlines’ up-front investment in high-value repairable inventories and resources, while giving them access to technical expertise and its component service provider network.

“In our operations where reliability is key, Embraer’s pool programme gives us an assurance of materials and services support, at any time and at any place, and more importantly at a predictable cost,” said Tetsuya Onuki, president of J-Air.
