Estonia is to join Eurocontrol, the European organisation for safe air navigation, completing the introduction of all European Union states to the group. Estonia will become Eurocontrol’s 41st member following Georgia, which is due to join in the next few months. Its latest member will join Eurocontrol on January 1, 2015. The Estonian government signed to that effect during a ceremony also attended by the Estonia Civil Aviation Administration and Estonian Air Navigation Services. Eurocontrol is committed to its plan for a ‘single European sky’, which will link Europe’s states together with the latest air traffic management system used under a unified approach.
