Etihad And AFI KLM E&M Sign 777 Components Deal

Etihad Airways has signed a 10-year component MRO contract with AFI KLM E&M covering its fleet of 33 777 aircraft.

Etihad Airways has signed a 10-year component MRO contract with AFI KLM E&M covering its fleet of 33 777 aircraft.

Under the terms of the multi-million dollar contract which takes effect from February 2016, Etihad will have access to the MRO’s pool of components around the world.

The latest contract builds on an existing codeshare agreement signed by Etihad and Air France KLM in October 2012.

Jeff Wilkinson, senior vice-president of technical at Etihad, said: "Through this latest phase in our relationship with Air France-KLM, we are confident AFI KLM E&M will provide easy, quick, reliable and cost-effective access to components for our 777 aircraft which are the backbone of our rapidly-growing fleet.”
