EU No Closer To Russian Data Accord

Russia and the EU are still to agree new rules on passenger data, elements of which Russian security agencies want for all flights transiting Russian airspace. EU privacy rules, however, make it difficult to release personal data, and if no accord is reached by July 1 it could lead to the grounding of any European services that fly into Russia or over it en route to Asia.
