Non-destructive testing firm Exova has been approved by Boeing to carry out specialist metals testing from its Houston facility for the OEM's global supply chain.

The approval will allow Exova to support testing for Boeing’s suppliers in the commercial aviation sector.

The laboratory is approved to conduct chemistry testing for hydrogen, room temperature tensile testing, metallography and hardness testing for all metallic components for airframes.

Bobby Archibald, vice-president of Exova in the Americas, said the firm was now “well placed” to support Boeing’s aerospace supply chain across the Americas, and will help the OEM to advance materials while ensuring quality and production standards.
