FAA Approves Spirit’s Europe Repair Station

US-based component OEM and MRO Spirit AeroSystems has received FAA Part-145 approval for its European repair centre in Prestwick, Scotland.

US-based component OEM and MRO Spirit AeroSystems has received FAA Part-145 approval for its European repair centre in Prestwick, Scotland.

The site, which already has EASA Part-145 certification, offers maintenance and repair services on components including structures, doors and hatches, as well as for engines and APUs.

Spirit, which helps to manufacture the fuselage for the 737MAX, has a repair station in Wichita, Kansas and a JV repair station Taikoo Spirit in Jinjiang, China.
