The FAA has updated its advisory circular (AC) for the storage, handling and dispensing of aviation fuel at airports.

The AC also provides standards and guidance for the training of personnel who conduct these activities.

The AC contains specifications and guidance for complying with Part 139 and also provides a revised list of authorised fuel safety training course providers.

The AC states that training course providers must submit their training syllabus to the FAA for review which will then determine its acceptability as an approved provider.

AC 150/5230-4B can be downloaded from www.faa.gov (PDF).
