Russian carrier Yamal Airlines has signed a contract with FL Technics for the heavy maintenance of its fleet of A320s and 737s during 2015. FL Technics will provide a range of MRO services on the aircraft, including C and D checks, NDT and borescope inspections, spare parts supply and structural repairs. The work will be undertaken at the MRO’s facilities in Lithuania at Vilnius and Kaunas airports. The new contract follows a deal in 2011 which saw FL Technics provide engineering and maintenance planning services for Yamal’s fleet of eight Bombardier CRJs. Salekhard-based Yamal was formed in 1997 and operates a fleet of 25 narrowbody and regional aircraft on routes in Russia.
