Fokker Regional Airliner Facility to Be Unveiled

Fokker Services Asia’s new center of excellence for regional aircraft heavy maintenance and support will open at Seletar on the first day of the Singapore air show. With airlines increasingly looking to outsource MRO and inventory management, Fokker Services Asia decided to invest in the new facility to help reinforce Singapore’s position as a leading MRO hub in Asia. The 262-ft. free-span hangar can accommodate three regional airliners or two large narrowbodies. It was built for Fokker Services Asia by Sharikat National under a “build and lease” program.

Demand for 30-100-seat aircraft in the region is expected to increase.

Models entering service or currently under development. include the Bombardier C Series, ComacC ARJ, Mitsubishi Regional Jet and Sukhoi SSJ. Fokker Services Asia already undertakes heavy maintenance on the turboprop ATR 42/72 series and Fokker airliners at its existing site in Seletar.
