Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering (GAMECO) has won a maintenance and engineering support contract with Chinese cargo carrier Uni-Top Airlines on its fleet of A300F aircraft.
The agreement covers base maintenance, engineering service, material support and component repair for Wuhan-headquartered Uni-Top Airlines on the freighters.
Norbert Marx, general manager of GAMECO, said: "Uni-Top Airlines is growing to support the economic needs of China and GAMECO sees them as a very important long-term customer for our business.”
Marx described the Uni-Top deal as the kind of partnership the MRO will look for more of to aid its expansion in China.
Founded in 2009, Uni-Top currently operates seven A300F aircraft types, comprised of five -600Rs and two -600RFs.
It also runs four 747 freighters, made up of one 200F, two 200B/SF and one -400F.
