GE Measurement and Control has launched a new video borescope that has wi-fi and bluetooth connectivity.

GE Measurement and Control has launched a new video borescope that has wi-fi and bluetooth connectivity.

The Mentor Visual iQ VideoProbe also has 3D phase measurement capabilities, which help to provide an accurate indication of the depth and size of pitting, cracking and corrosion.

The probe’s ability to connect over wi-fi enables inspectors to contact other experts while in the field and share images which will help to speed up the inspection process, according to GE.

The borescope is fitted with a touchscreen interface and comes with manuals uploaded to the device, as well as files to help users carry out inspections. Users can also set up customised profiles for multiple users and applications.
