GE Invests Further $15m Into US Engine Plant

GE Aviation (GE) is investing a further $15m into the new 28,000m2 engine assembly facility, currently under construction, in Layafette, Indiana.

GE Aviation (GE) is investing a further $15m into the new 28,000m2 engine assembly facility, currently under construction, in Layafette, Indiana.

The additional investment into machinery and equipment will provide GE with MRO capabilities for CFM International’s new LEAP engine.

The $100m Lafayette facility, announced last March, is scheduled to open in January 2016.
