Aviation Week’s fleet and MRO forecast data indicates that Airbus A320s will generate the most heavy maintenance expenditures of any aircraft in 2015—$810 million. This is driven by a large number of C and D checks events that are due, based on the aircraft’s age, hours and cycles.
On the component side, expect the A320 fleet to generate $7.7 billion over the next decade in North America. This graphic shows the top 10 components from an expenditure standpoint—with auxiliary power units and wheels and brakes generating the most. To learn more about what to expect from the civil aftermarket over the next decade, attend the “Annual Industry Analysis and Forecast Session” at Aviation Week's MRO Americas Conference & Exhibition in Miami at 9:30 on April 14 or stop by the Aviation Week booth and see the data demonstrated in detail.
