Gulf Air has signed a three-year extension to its contract with JorAMCo for heavy maintenance checks on its fleet of 28 Airbus aircraft.

Under the terms of the agreement, the Jordanian MRO will continue to service the airline’s A330s and A320 family aircraft until the end of 2018.

All MRO services will be carried out at JorAMCo’s facility at Queen Alia International Airport in Zizya, Jordan.

Jamal Hashim, Gulf Air’s chief technical officer, said: “We are confident that this extension will greatly help us in our continued pursuit to enhance our technical quality, efficiency and safety standard while the airline, in tandem, continues its drive to independently deliver technical excellence in aircraft maintenance.”
