HAECO Xiamen has completed a cabin modification input on a 747-400 aircraft for Virgin Atlantic Airways.
The project included a C-check and cabin modifications, which focused on the first class and business class areas of the aircraft.
The Chinese MRO carried out the reconfiguring of the aircraft's upper deck, lavatory relocation, galley installation, Wi-Fi modification, a full-cabin IFE upgrade and mood-lighting control modification.
The cabin modification project extends the cooperation between the parties, with HAECO Xiamen completing work on a Virgin Atlantic 747 at London Gatwick Airport in 2012.
Martin Harrington, outsourced base maintenance – check manager of Virgin Atlantic, said: “This demanding and challenging project was planned and completed on time and to a very high standard thanks to the flexibility and hard work of the HAECO Xiamen teams.”
