HAECO Xiamen Technical Training has entered into an agreement with AVIC International to deliver customized aircraft maintenance training for the Chinese state-owned company’s overseas airline customers.
Both parties disclosed today (November 23) that the first group of technician students from carriers in Asia, Africa and South America undertook training at its Chinese facility in August over a two-week period.
It consisted of a five-day theoretical module program for best maintenance practices for mechanical and avionics specialists.
Jin Xing, vice-president of civil aircraft division of AVIC International, said: “Through this training initiative, AVIC has sought to provide an opportunity for our overseas partners to become better acquainted with the civil aviation industry in China as well as AVIC’s civil aircraft product portfolio, paving the way for future collaboration.”
HAECO Xiamen established its technical training center in 2008 and holds HKAR-147, CCAR-147 and EASA Part-147 training approvals.
