UK-based Monarch Aircraft Engineering (MAEL) has secured a line maintenance contract with Hainan Airlines.

UK-based Monarch Aircraft Engineering (MAEL) has secured a line maintenance contract with Hainan Airlines.

Under the deal MAEL will provide call-out support to one of the Chinese carrier’s 767 aircraft which is operating a new twice-weekly route from Beijing to Birmingham International Airport over the summer.

The contract with Hainan is the latest in a series of summer line maintenance agreements that the MRO has secured in recent months.

In June MAEL confirmed it had renewed its support contract with Spanish charter carrier Privilege covering its 757 and in May it signed a deal with French carrier La Compagnie for a 757 aircraft operating between Newark, US and Luton in the UK.
