HAITEC Aircraft Maintenance has completed its first d-check on a 747-400 aircraft.

HAITEC carried out the work at its facility at Frankfurt–Hahn Airport for Azerbaijan-based carrier Silk Way Airlines.

Frank Rott, HAITEC’s CEO, said the firm’s new capability will be “fundamental to positioning HAITEC as a major player within the independent, global MRO market.”

The MRO also confirmed plans to build a new hangar at the Frankfurt site for a September 2016 opening remained on track.
