Iranian Spares Still In Limbo

Iran is still to reach an agreement with Boeing about desperately needed spare parts for its ageing civil aircraft fleet

Iran is still to reach an agreement with Boeing about desperately needed spare parts for its ageing civil aircraft fleet, state broadcaster IRIB has reported.

According to IRIB, minister Sar Ghale said that Boeing was offering the parts at three times market rate, causing Iran’s Civil Aviation Organisation to reject the deal.

Under a temporary easing of sanctions, it had been reported last month that Boeing would supply parts to Iran, but no progress appears to have been made since that memorandum of understanding.
