Engine overhaul specialist International Turbine Industries (ITI) has bought an industrial site owned by General Motors.

The 23,000sq-ft site is close to ITI’s existing engine shop in Ypsilanti, Michigan, where the company offers MRO services on business jet engines, including Honeywell’s TFE731, GE’s CJ610 and CF700 and Pratt & Whitney Canada’s JT15D.

ITI says it plans to invest $50,000 in improving the facility. The MRO hopes to use the new site to expand its operations and treble its workforce in the next five years.
