Jeju Air Expands AFI KLM E&M 737 MRO Contract

South Korean low-cost carrier JeJu Air has expanded its existing engine maintenance contract with AFI KLM E&M to include an additional 18 shop visits.

South Korean low-cost carrier JeJu Air has expanded its existing engine maintenance contract with AFI KLM E&M to include an additional 18 shop visits.

The long-term agreement covers full support of the CFM56-7B engines powering Jeju’s 737-800 fleet which currently stands at 20 aircraft with a further eight of the aircraft on order.

JW Louis Kim, team manager purchasing at Jeju Air, said: “We are very satisfied with the performance delivered by AFI KLM E&M so we naturally extended our engine support contract. We now wish to take these partnership relations even further.”
