KLM UK Engineering Gains AFRA Approval

Regional and narrowbody aircraft MRO specialist KLM UK Engineering has been awarded accreditation by the Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association (AFRA).

Regional and narrowbody aircraft MRO specialist KLM UK Engineering has been awarded accreditation by the Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association (AFRA).

The certification, which covers aircraft disassembly, confirms that KLM UK Engineering is working in line with best practice guidance published by AFRA which details requirements on materials management, record management and environmental protection.

KLM UK Engineering joins 21 other firms including GA Telesis, Magellen and Sycamore Aviation in gaining the certification.

The MRO, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance, operates an aircraft disassembly and recycling centre at Norwich International Airport, alongside a five-bay heavy maintenance facility.
