Lufthansa Technik (LHT) has expanded its existing Total Component Support (TCS) contract with Taiwan’s China Airlines on its A350 fleet.
Hamburg-headquartered LHT has entered into a new long-term deal with the carrier to oversee component supply. Services will include maintenance, reliability monitoring, and enhancement programmes as well as logistics services.
In addition, LHT will provide global AOG support for China Airlines’ widebody fleet through its worldwide network which includes component pools in Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas.
LHT also supplies material under its TCS offering for China Airlines’ A330 and A340 fleets.
C.J. Huang, senior-vice president of engineering and maintenance at China Airlines, said the airline opted for LHT due to its track record of high performance and reliability.
“We believe partnering with Lufthansa Technik is a win-win strategic move and will further strengthen the collaboration between China Airlines and Lufthansa Technik,” said Huang.
