LHT Opens First Australian Engine Wash Station

Lufthansa Technik (LHT) has opened its first station in Australia offering Cyclean Engine Wash services.

LHT says the engine washing facility at Melbourne Airport is mounted in a vehicle, which enables it be used at other nearby airports.

Oliver Winter, head of engine life cycle services at LHT, said the centre will be able to accommodate all types of engines and the MRO has already carried out the first Cyclean wash in Melbourne on an V2500 engines from an A320 operated by an unnamed airline.

LHT has also confirmed plans for the service network to be expanded with further stations in Sydney, Perth, and Brisbane.
