LHT Receives EASA Approval For A350

Lufthansa Technik (LHT) yesterday (January 15) gained Part 145 approval from EASA to service the A350, the same day the aircraft made its first commercial flight to Frankfurt.

Lufthansa Technik (LHT) yesterday (January 15) gained Part 145 approval from EASA to service the A350, the same day the aircraft made its first commercial flight to Frankfurt.

LHT’s Frankfurt and Munich facilities will provide MRO services, including troubleshooting, software management and replacement of components, engines and APUS, as well as supply spare parts for the new widebody.

The MRO will offer its customers access to spare engines and APUs stored at its Frankfurt site and component repairs at its Hamburg facilities.

LHT is also in the process of setting up component pool sites in Asia and Europe.

Lufthansa Airlines is set to take delivery of its first A350 in the second half of 2016.
