Lufthansa Technik (LHT) has signed a deal with UK-based carrier Thomas Cook Airlines to provide wheels and brakes support on its fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft.

Under the terms of the contract, the German MRO will cover 52 A320 family aircraft, nine A330s, 15 757s and 16 767s.

The deal expands the relationship between the two parties after they signed a total component support contract for Thomas Cook’s Airbus fleets in February 2015.

Bernd Bechtel, head of group maintenance procurement at Thomas Cook, said LHT won the contract as a result of offering “a comprehensive and competitive solution”.
