Liebherr-Aerospace China has doubled the capacity size of its Shanghai services center to 3,700 m² along with adding new MRO capabilities at the site.
New capabilities include the maintenance of bleed and air conditioning systems including air cycle machines.
In addition, it will now offer testing services of ATA 21/36 components for Airbus narrowbody and widebody aircraft, Bombardier and Embraer aircraft along with COMAC’s ARJ21-700 jet.
Josef Gropper, managing director and COO production, purchasing and asset investments of Liebherr-Aerospace and Transportation, said the expanded capacity and capabilities was driven by the firm’s desire to enlarge its footprint in China on a long-term basis.
“The extension of our liaison and customer service center is an important milestone in our strategy of developing and enhancing support for our customers,” he said.
