LOT Aircraft Maintenance Services (LOTAMS), the former MRO division of LOT Polish Airlines, has confirmed plans to open a new 7500m² facility for widebody aircraft.

LOT Aircraft Maintenance Services (LOTAMS), the former MRO division of LOT Polish Airlines, has confirmed plans to open a new 7500m² facility for widebody aircraft.

The hangar will be built close to Warsaw Chopin Airport and is scheduled to begin operating in 2017.

The new hangar will be LOTAM’s fifth and the MRO also operates a spare components warehouse.

In a statement, LOTAMS said the new facility’s services will be “targeted at operators flying from Chopin Airport and will additionally address the needs of others, and namely those with 787s in their fleet.”
