LTAA Wins Austrian Airlines CF34-10E Engine MRO Contract

Austrian Airlines has signed a 15-year contract with Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey (LTAA) for MRO services on the CF34-10E engines powering its fleet of Embraer E195 aircraft.

Austrian Airlines has signed a 15-year contract with Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey (LTAA) for MRO services on the CF34-10E engines powering its fleet of Embraer E195 aircraft.

In a statement released on Wednesday (April 20), Austrian said its decision to select LTAA was influenced by previous work the Lufthansa Technik subsidiary had done on earlier CF34 engine models.

In September 2015, the two parties also agreed a contract for LTAA to service Austrian’s PW150A engines powering its Bombardier Q400 fleet.

Vienna-headquartered Austrian currently operates two E195s, but has a further 15 scheduled to enter its fleet after buying 17 of the aircraft type from Lufthansa CityLine in June 2015.
