Lufthansa and Chapman Freeborn Sign Strategic Agreement

Chapman Freeborn Airchartering and Lufthansa Cargo have announced the signing of a new strategic co-operation agreement, effective from April 1. Under the agreement Chapman Freeman will handle the German cargo carrier’s third-party chartering requirements, allowing it to focus on its marketing charter capacity of 18 McDonnell Douglas MD-11F aircraft. The carrier’s international sales force and client base will be given access to the full range of charter aircraft throughout Chapman Freeborn’s global network of 35 offices. Anything from helicopters to light aircraft for time-critical freight, and Antonov AN-225 aircraft for heavier cargo requirements will be made available; in addition, Chapman Freeborn clients will have access to Lufthansa Cargo’s freighter fleet.
