Lufthansa’s flight schools in in Germany, Switzerland, and the United States are to be combined under the European Flight Academy (EFA) umbrella in order to offer standardised pilot training to Lufthansa group airlines and third-party customers.

Training is provided at existing flight schools Lufthansa Flight Training Pilot School (VFS) Bremen, Airline Training Center Arizona (ATCA), Pilot Training Network (PTN), and Swiss Aviation Training (SAT), though, for the time being, new courses will only begin at PTN.

The airline says that new courses at VFS Bremen can resume once “collective bargaining terms have been settled”.
