Lufthansa Technik Inks Tigerair Taiwan APU Contract

Lufthansa Technik has signed a long-term agreement with low-cost carrier (LCC) Tigerair Taiwan to provide repair services for the auxiliary power units (APU) on its A320 fleet.

Lufthansa Technik has signed a long-term agreement with low-cost carrier (LCC) Tigerair Taiwan to provide repair services for the auxiliary power units (APU) on its A320 fleet.

Under the terms of the contract, Lufthansa Technick will cover APU component overhaul as well as providing a pooling supply of components from its warehouse in Singapore.

Gerald Steinhoff, senior vice-president for corporate sales in Asia-Pacific, said: “Our support for Tigerair Taiwan proves Lufthansa Technik’s ability to efficiently meet the needs of successful LCCs in Asia."

Based at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, Tigerair Taiwan began operating in 2014 and currently has a fleet of eight A320s.
