Lufthansa Technik Logistik Services (LTLS) has opened a new facility in Shenzhen, in southern China’s Guangdong province.
The logistics operation, which is to employ 30 people, is located at the site of the MRO’s Chinese subsidiary Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen.
The new LTLS facility includes a 2,100m² customs warehouse and will begin operations providing services for the Lufthansa Group before gaining approval for imports and exports for the Chinese MRO market.
LTLS plans for the site to offer national and international transport management services, imports and exports, engine storage and transport, as well as material procurement, purchasing and planning services.
Christian Ehlers, LTLS project manager, said the new site was “the ideal prerequisite for our future growth in the Chinese market”.
