Lufthansa Technik Raises Innovation Spend To €200m

Lufthansa Technik is set to increase spending on innovation in product, service and technology to €200m ($273m) over the next four years. The company spent €50m ($68m) on innovation in the past five years. A new department – Corporate Innovation Management and Product Development – has been set up to oversee the investment programme. Dr Helge Sachs will lead the department, which will have a remit to promote, coordinate, and control company-wide corporate development projects.
