Lufthansa Technik (LHT) has signed a contract with SunExpress Germany to provide technical services for its Eurowings brand’s fleet of seven A330-200 aircraft.

Under the terms of the deal, LHT will cover maintenance and engineering services along with handling component supply for the fleet.

The agreement also includes LHT covering wheels and brakes support for the aircraft from its Cologne facility.

It expands on existing services between LHT and SunExpress Germany, which include the MRO providing cabin upgrade services on the A330s at its Hamburg facility last year.

Robert Gaag, senior-vice president corporate sales EUMEA at LHT, said: "This contract also allows us to make a valuable contribution to the new low-cost strategy of the Lufthansa Group - based on the familiar high quality and safety standards.”
