MAEL Launches Summer Apprenticeship Scheme

Monarch Aircraft Engineering (MAEL) is set to launch its 2014 summer apprenticeship scheme. The scheme, which began in 1971, aims to provide the industry with highly skilled apprentices each year. The scheme includes practical on-site training, where apprentices will work alongside skilled mentors, who will pass on essential knowledge and experience. “Equipping tomorrow’s aircraft engineers with key skills is crucial to ensuring that we can offer the highest standards of service, whilst enabling us to continue to provide the UK with a home grown source of engineering talent,” said Ian Bartholomew, commercial director at MAEL.
