Estonian firm Magnetic MRO has launched high pressure compressor (HPC) blades boroblend repair services for CFM56-3, -5A, -5B and 7B engines.

Magnetic said that with the addition of its HPC repair capabilities, it will now be able to assist aircraft owners and airlines with AOG situations caused by FOD.

Magnetic said the service is performed on-wing and does not require engine removal or disassembly.

Ramil Sharov, engine line maintenance manager at Magnetic MRO, said the MRO's on-wing support engineers will be able to carry out repairs either at the customer’s location or at its facility in Tallinn.
